About Civil Services
Civil Services Examination for recruitment to the Services and Posts viz Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and 21 other Class I Services will be notified by the Union Public Service Commission in February every year, the Preliminary Examination will be conducted in June, the Main Examination in November/December and thereafter the Personal Interview. 2019 Civil Services Examination will consist of two successive stages
- 1. Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination (Objective type) for the selection of candidates for the Main Examination; and
- 2. Civil Services (Main) Examination (Written and Interview) for the selection of candidates for the various Services and posts.
